Blue Peter Microlife Game
Blue Peter asked us to build a game that would get users involved in having to keep creatures alive and away from predators. We built them Microlife. An A.I. enhanced game set in a village full of odd little creatures. The creatures procreate and then have to be kept alive by regular feeding and tending. Adult creatures can be left to bear young or can be trained to become soldiers in order to defend their village. Enemy creatures appear from time to time and lay waste to a poorly defended population. Despite being a flash game, the creatures follow rules of A.I. and can even fall sick (if they do they must be quarantined before they infect others!)
This game went on to win the most highly coveted prize for flash game developers. Best Game at the New York Flash Film Festival.
